German is the language of instruction at all educational stages of the German school ZSB, from kindergarten to secondary school. A complete immersion in German is promoted, complemented by the progressive teaching of Spanish, Catalan and English. At the end of the school stage, students reach a C1 level in German and at least a B2 in English, certified by the Goethe-Institut and Trinity College London, respectively.
In order to enter our German International School in Barcelona from 1st grade onwards, a basic knowledge of German and Spanish is required. If the student does not have these skills, he/she can acquire them through immersion courses recommended by the school.
